Oster A5 Turbo Clipper Is My Fave

I have a one year old Springer spaniel, and before her, I had another Springer Spaniel, Muggins, who passed away last year at the age of 17.  For all but the first year of Muggins’ life, I groomed her myself.
When I first got Muggins, I took her to groomers.  This wasn’t a good solution though.  It was inconvenient because I had to travel to and from the groomer to drop her off and pick her up.  It was expensive.  And she was rarely clipped the way I wanted her to be clipped; I had trouble getting the groomers to listen to my instructions.

I decided to groom Muggins myself.  I started with inexpensive Oster clippers—the cheapest I could find.  Although the clippers were passable, I ended up spending lots of money on blades because they didn’t last long, and the clippers wore out quickly.

I replaced that set with Andis clippers.  I was reasonably satisfied with those clippers, and I still have them.  They’ve held up well, but they heat up very quickly, which means I have to stop often to let them cool before I can continue.

I then got the Oster A5 Turbo 2-Speed Professional clippers.  And I discovered what a difference a great clipper can do for you.
